Targeting editing difficulty;
« on: August 28, 2010, 10:32:35 AM »
What I'm trying to get is a 'buff self' only type spell that cannot be cast on other characters other than the caster. I tried a few combinations but nothing seems to work. The best I've gotten was [sometimes heals individual, sometimes heals entire party].

I can't find what changes a spell from a spell like Osmose (single always only) versus Cure (single or group).

If it makes a difference, it's a SwordTech ability I'm trying to turn into this buff.
I have a few spells I want to work this way.

Use the targeting of "Quick", since that is a self-buff spell.

The only "self targeting bug" that I recall is the Heal Rod.. so that may or may not have an impact of what you're doing.

For a command... try using the same targeting that Morph or Runic has (or maybe even Slot, Rage, Dance, Mimic).

Sorry if I'm totally off.

Make sure "One side only" is the only option checked in the targeting. That way the cursor defaults to your party, and defaults to you. And boom, self-only.

119 bugs fixed and counting.

Tried this. Hits the whole party or sometimes a random party member.

I came across this;

Setzer's limit break/desperation [Red Card] can't seem to be altered. Every change I make seems to have no affect on the graphic of the animation. Does anyone know if this occurs with other animations as well?

I'm tried to make Red Card look like Auto Crossbow. But then I tried changing it to Fire and all the changes kept it looking like Red Card.

hmmm

well I think its because red card kinda looks like a regular attack 4 the most part

maybe its in the weapons bank (remember (quoting Leno here) the programming team that was on FF6 was a bunch of retarded monkeys for the most part lmfao

Yeah. The real question is if there are more spell animations I should be worried about that refuse to change too - if anyone has run across them.
Man, I really wish I could change Red Card too. Setzer was supposed to be one of my 'elite' characters. I don't want him winging around a few cards like a dork!
