My picks: Cardinals, Broncos

I'm feeling a bit of sympathy for Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald. I also think Arizona's defense is much stronger than Carolina's, and the Panthers are a bit inexperienced when it comes to holding leads. A key defensive figure, Jared Allen, has also been ruled out. I think it'll be close, 24-22.

As for Broncos/Patriots, this is one extremely difficult game to judge. The Patriots are hurting a lot more than they seem, and the Broncos have little offense to show. They also have a horrible turnover ratio. But their defense is top-notch. I think this will be another slugfest, which the Broncos will squeak out of. 18-14

My prediction on scores are...

I think the Panthers win 34-17 and the Broncos win 23-20 on a late FG as time expires.  Brady gets sacked more than 3 times and throws 2 INTs.

Well, my pick isn't going to change, so I may as well say it now. I have the Denver Broncos winning this game. However, I have strong fears that the Carolina Panthers will be laying a beatdown.

Traditionally speaking, when the strong defense goes against the strong offense, the strong defense is usually what wins. That favors Denver in this matchup. Still have that inkling that Carolina might be too strong though. At any rate, I hope it's a good game.
