Those "unused" bits were removed in FF4A, but unfortunately in FF4, they actually have an impact that is undocumented previously.. so you'd never really know the difference. Then again, FF4A has its own stupid bug list.

I forgot to mention a minor bug regarding stats.

The min cap for this game for any negative stats to be 1. Unfortunately, someone goofed and forgot about when the stat is 0, which ends up staying as 0.. this is easily realized with Paladin Cecil with the Cursed Ring and maybe a few other instances that I can't think of yet.

In FF4A, the min cap for any stat below 0 equals 0.

The lightning weakness on Valvalis (Barbariccia) in the Elements battle is not removed by the game engine (the monster is supposed to be weak vs Holy only, with no other resistances 0r absorb). This is fixed in FF4A.

In Entroper's docs, he has offsets for the US version... it should be relatively close in the Euro version...

The Avenger dupe bug works for all SNES versions except for FF4ET.

Ok, the starting location for the character level data in the FF4A Euro version is at EA36C.

The HP growth is the same as it is for level 59, which is 152-171 (0x98 and 0xAB)

are there any romhacks for Final Fantasy IV (J) (original hard type) that fix all the known bugs or anything remotely close to that?

all I see on RHDN is Yangs health fix and that's it.

I guess I could just start stacking fix hacks and see how far I get before it breaks.

That is if there are more than the one listed on RHDN. Are there any other FFIV bugfixes out there currently?
