I also like yours dragonsbrethren, and yet I still say it's hard to tell what is behind the text as they are all run together, I remember at one time someone drew outlines but that just looked tacky, if there was some way to create blank space or something that would give them more distinct shapes, meh, it doesn't really matter it's been the logo for so long it's a non issue, just a thought....
perhaps even shifting the image up or something, you'll notice how the text doesn't cover much of the art in the
original logothe one Damonik showed is cool because you can see that it's kefka, the outline better etc.
I really like your gold text though it's really spot on with the width and shading etc.
EDIT: I showed my bro both of them, him not knowing anything about this project, and not a lot about final fantasy, he liked the new one too (again, not that it matters) but wondered what it would look like on the SNES, is it within the palette? etc. but he didn't even see the characters in the back of the first logo at first (admittedly probably because of the color of the forum so I quickly showed it to him on a white background and he saw it but still preferred the other). This could a be a concern if you are planning on showing the logo against a dark background in the game. I also had a random thought about how it's sort of a funny double two picture, it could be seen as two kefkas, or one box with a ribbon. anyways, random comment.
just a few thoughts, I love both Dragonsbrethren and by no means am I trying to critisize your work as it is good and I have not provided anything myself. Moreover it is your project.
