Final Fantasy V Research & Development / Re: Final Fantasy V Plus

Log: Made it to Walse/Worse Castle.

Wing Raptor: Not too difficult, definitely had to bring the potions for this guy though.

Whirlpool Monster (can't remember his name): By this time I had a White Mage (Lenna) with basic Black Magic, two Monks (Bartz & Galuf), and a Blue Mage (Faris) with Vampire, Aero, and Goblin Punch. Lenna was the whole reason my team survived as the Boss was unrelenting with Tailscrew. Meanwhile my two Monks and Blue Mage dealt the damage. Great challenge.

Siren: I had my Potions prepared in case I needed them, but I focused Lenna on healing. Nothing changed overall between my teams except Bartz and Galuf had changed classes (Thief and Fighter respectively). I gave each of them Brawler because the occasionally Crit out-damaged either class. I had difficulty keeping the damage up as Siren shifted between living and undead. Faris cast Aero which did surprisingly powerful damage and sometimes Vampire whenever Siren was mortal. Overall, I didn't have any major problems, but my advice is to anyone facing her is to collect as many Phoenix Downs as possible before the fight. I remember using around two.

Magissa & Forza: Kudos on this fight. Magissa was a beast but Forza was cake. The party remains the same, Fighter (Galuf), Thief (Bartz), Blue Mage (Faris), and White Mage (Lenna). By this time I had Mute for Lenna and Flash for Faris, both of which were vital to Magissa's defeat. She not only liked tossing around magic, but the amount of buffs and healing magic she placed on herself kept my team from killing her for a long time. Lenna focused on Muting her, while Bartz and Galuf pummeled her even after she placed Protect on herself. This fight might have been easier if I had made Faris a Black Mage because Lenna was by far the strongest damage dealer because Magissa never cast Shell on herself. Forza on the other hand was like a Berserker, and while blinded he hit around 10% of the time, which was still dangerous because he dished out 100 HP per hit.

When Magissa had Protection status, I aimed Bartz and Galuf on Forza who had no defense. The main problem I faced during this fight was the persistent Buffing by Magissa, so between healing and nuking Lenna was also the Silencer. With Magissa silenced she would waste turns trying to heal herself and Forza, yet the status wore off, worse yet it would wear off quicker because she had cast Haste on herself.

Eventually she died, and Forza along with her. Towards the end, she kept casting Cure on herself recovering 100 HP per spell. It annoyed me to no end, but it was also fun. I look forward to whatever hell the Liquid Flame has to offer.

I started with the fears that this was simply an expert hack that made enemies hit you harder. What I got was something unexpected. I am looking forward to further advancements of your mod.

UPDATE: Made it to Garula fight.
Despite his heavy hitting, all it took was a dose of Flash to nerf any threat he had. Kinda disappointed he wasn't harder.
