Improved: Mother (1989)
« on: February 02, 2015, 08:07:29 PM »
Hey there, I'm new here!

I had some issues with the NSFE tagging and playlist for Mother/Earthbound Zero on the main database, so I redid the tags/timing/playlist/meta from scratch. I've named all tracks to correspond to their area or community acknowledged titles (as many Mother songs reoccur across multiple areas throughout the series' sequels, they have commonly understood names. i.e.; Snowman, Eight Melodies, Pollyanna, etc.). Looping songs typically loop twice, except in a few rare instances where judgement was used. I also did my best to name and time the library of SFX, corresponding to their in game uses when possible or timbre qualities. The playlist has been arranged and SFX have been hidden.

Game: Mother (1989)
Developer: Nintendo
Composers: Keiichi Suzuki, Hirokazu "Hip" Tanaka
NSF Rip: Unknown (Distributed via Zophar's Domain)
NSFE Tagging: katyok2015 (me; alias)

Anyway, I felt the need to improve the Mother NSFE for personal use, so if you guys are interested i'll just attach the archive here! Also, as a side note, I'm curious if there is some cross platform (Win/Linux/OSX) stand-alone application for editing NSFE tags/timings/metadata that doesn't require WinAmp as a host? I haven't used WinAmp for years and it's a pain to have to keep it installed just for arranging NSFEs! If not, I may look into coding one during my free time..

Thanks!
