General Discussion / Re: Google Chrome

I use Opera and won't touch Google Chrome because of the memory leaks and shotty code.  And I know Firefox is good but I won't use it.

I thought that was an issue for Firefox, not Chrome...

 :bump:

I'm using Chrome starting today, testing it exclusively for Flash heavy sites.... which would normally chokes on Firefox (well, if there's lots of Flash crap) faster than anything else (I'm not touching IE with a stick either way though).

It seems to run much faster that Firefox for that very purpose (Hulu and Youtube seems alright), so I'll stick with that for a while.

At the moment, I have my browsers lined up...

1) Opera - main browser for most things
2) Firefox - for compatibility when Opera isn't the best option
3) Chrome - for everything Flashcraptacular

I'm probably looking to move Chrome up because of its sandboxing ability, but I'm not entirely sold on the compatibility.... and it's Google.

I already have a utility to fix that, but no matter... I don't like the idea that the installer has the privileges... ever.

There is one game in the Cowboys season that I recall watching.. Chargers @ Cowboys where that Cowboys defense was lit up. Of course that same offense couldn't do anything to the Jets.. but the Jets have essentially the best defense of all the playoff teams...

I'm still trying to piece this last game together. :omg:

It's not hard. The fact that the Jets won is shacking, but how they won isn't.

It's back to the fundamentals... good defense and the QB has to manage the game and minimize turnovers. Sure Sanchez made one bad decision, but the defense erased it. If anything, the defense made the key plays to succeed.

The one major blunder would arguably be the onside kick. 4th and 1 would not have gone like that... most people would punt in that instance. With the field position that the Jets had, the risk/reward didn't seem so bad especially when the defense could be relied upon to get the job done, so it wasn't an insane risk by the Jets.

Nate Kaeding has a notable track record of chocking unfortunately.

Wow.. shocking upset by the Jets. It's amazing how the last game is the more interesting game.

Time for revenge rematch!

Congrats to JCE for being perfect.... a perfect 0fer. Better luck next time  :wtf:

 :edit:
Key turnovers and the Jets defense holding its part of the bargain is the key to the win.

so because i didn't gripe about an unsuccessful TD throw, i'm not allowed to gripe about an actual TD throw?  F U. :P  i'm not obligated to list every instance of (attempted) score bloating.

the operative word here is "sportsmanship".  the game was no longer at stake with Minnesota leading 27-3.  so what they did can only be construed as piling on.  if you don't believe in this aspect of sportsmanship, just say so; don't try and split hairs over my critique.

Sportsmanship is one thing, but when you're at the best level of play, it doesn't really matter. Worrying about running up the score is something kids younger than 18 should not have to face (seeing kids crying on tv is not appreciable). It hasn't stopped college football nor the pro-game from doing it. Frankly, if you're losing because you can't do a thing, then there's nothing to gripe about. At this level of play, this is like crying about spilled milk. There is no "nice" way of losing (or winning for that matter). The result is the same. If you want to hold it for the next time a team plays, sure, but that's the reality of the game that was played.

- it was lame of the Vikings to go tacking on a TD with 1:55 to play.

It was 4th down, and the Cowboys are supposed to stop it. They simply can't. Giving up 30+ points is a fault of the defense, and not a responsibility of the Vikings offense to stop. You would've preferred the guaranteed 3 point FG?

 :edit:

Note: This is the same team that went for it on 4th down earlier and Favre tried to throw a 4th TD to Rice, who had a career day. That didn't work out, but if you don't see the flaw in your gripe about a similar but unsuccessful play, then whatever I guess.

There's still time on the game, but eh, the Cowboys lost both sides of the line of scrimmage as the game progressed. Congrats to Vikings.

Good job Leno, only you can go 0-4 this week!

When your only score is the first drive, and every potential big play is negated by a penalty or a bad bounce of the ball, the Ravens are nevermore.

:edit: Actually, JCE is in the same boat, except he differs from you on the Cowboys @ Vikings pick (of course).

I mentioned that fact already.

I like repeating awesome stats.

Quote
Congratulations to the Saints, they are advancing to the NFC Championship game. The Saints did what I did not think was possible, and the game was a blowout. :whoa:

I think it's the after effect of that tough game with the Packers.... it's not a true test by any sense of the imagination.

The Cards defense is swiss-cheese when facing a good QB.. like the SNF game with Colts. Peyton lit that team up easy. So, I should've put that together in my gut decision... nevertheless, congrats to the Saints.

Fun stat: Favre is 0-3 vs the Cowboys lifetime in the playoffs.

Oh well, I'd like to see my awesome question answered.

Because, you know Cyan is the Tempest God! (Even Gau as the Tempest God is more appealing than this).

 :edit:

Hey, I had a thought for an awesome ebmid response video! Have a solo Cyan fight a Retainer with maxed out stats and ebmid's orgasmic equipment set (and no magic). That would be the ultimate response.  :wtf: :omg:
