Looks like there's an update version of this patch from less than a week ago:

Hey, I decided to try applying Yahoo's Titlescreen Mod after applying both the Bug Fix and Script patches:

http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/600/

It seems to work okay.  I played through the opening sequence up until the point when TERRA gets the crown removed and enters the mines and I didn't see any problems so far.  Is there any reason that anyone knows of why this patch could cause problems later on?

Hey, is this really supposed to be applied to the v1.0 Japanese ROM as the hash data indicates?  That seems weird to me because the original J2E patch used the v1.1 Japanese ROM.

Uh...I dunno?

I've had probably the worst real life stuff go down since posting this. I dunno. Does that work? Or shouldn't it?

I am too mentally slow right now to even know where to start, I'm sorry.  :isuck:

Yikes!  Sorry to hear about the real life troubles.

I applied the patch to both the 1.0 and 1.1 versions of the ROM and both seem to load correctly using the bsnes compatibility core in RetroArch.  So perhaps they both will work?  I'm going to stick with 1.1 for now since the original J2E patch was based on that version.

Well it's not like it was never released or anything, there is still more than enough to enjoy with it. Seems the final last 1-2% of stuff he had planned is dialog based, the Opera singing I think? And possibly other semi-superficial things. The latest 1.07 seems to have a slew of bugs that need sorting out, so you should use the 1.06 for playing I'd imagine.

Actually, it looks like General Public's 1.07a patch works okay for Base or Complete just not for Translation.

This is the best FF6 project I've ever seen!  Has DarkMage abandoned it completely at this point?  :hmm:
