Copied maps tile layering issues.
« on: August 28, 2012, 02:38:31 AM »
One of the biggest nasty issues I currently have with my hack that I would really appreciate some help solving, is that some of the maps that I've copied over to unused maps, for instance the Esper World map and the Colosseum map I copied are having a lot of the tiles messing up on them. The character will go behind the tiles on things like bridges and beds and other tiles. I'm sure everything got copied over right in LE, and there is nothing in the entrance event that has to do with said problem:

Any ideas what causes this or how to fix it? I've tried for hours messing with the tiles in LE with no luck, I'm starting to think that this is an unfixable issue that comes with copying maps, I sure hope not...

Thanks.

You couldn't have copied everything if you're having layering issues.

Hm...well, comparing the two side by side here now for the hundreth time, I'm 100% sure that I got all the correct/same map data in LE copied over to the unused maps from the original maps and still the problem is there. The original Esper World map is working fine with the layers, but the copied one has the problem.

Is there anything else besides the data in 'MAPS' and 'LAYERS' in LE that needs to be copied over to solve this layering issue that you may be aware of? Your answer is somewhat vague there, I'm not sure if you were hinting me to something else or not. =/

Thanks.

No secret. You just couldn't have copied everything like you said if you're getting layering issues. Triple check everything in every tab, go into the hex if you need to. You missed something.
