I guess it is my formal suggestion to add Leno's Summon This patch...

This is not where you want to start a repeat convo:

"its", not "it's":

There's a missing comma in that sentence:

The currently only lame bug is the item menu description bleeds over to the Status 1+2 areas...

Just play the movie so you can see what happens (you will need the 1.3g beta hack). It's amusing behavior.

Noone finds the Tempest behavior interesting?... Oh well..

1911
I don't think that affects Gogo, unless there's also specialized code that disables armor+relics from allowing Gogo to learn magic... (I'm not sure if they are tied together or if they are separate code).

Leno, from the readme of the hack, it doesn't sound like you've enabled Gogo's Esper option.. since the Summon command will be added onto Gogo's command list.... obviously Gogo can mime the summon, but if Gogo wanted to use the Summon command, it would be impossible to use in the first place.

I mentioned about the Wind Katana and didn't offer a movie, so this is a more interesting movie worth watching...
http://rapidshare.com/files/140311584/FF3Hack3.7z.html

The spell that's attached to this weapon can randomly replace the Wind Slash attack..

The behavior is interesting since if the replacement spell occurs, a free attack is allowed to occur and repeat the cycle.

Also, Wind Slash's targeting gets fucked in all of this at random.

It would be interesting to tweak the probability of Wind Slash replacing Tempest, and see how other spells are affected by this.

This stuff is classified under strange/odd/cool/buggy behavior.

 :childish:

I do have some suggestions though.. if any of this would get passed along.

1) Have a defaults button for the actors section (this requires minimal changes compared to all the other data that exists for this game.

2) The initial equipment for each character should have some method of informing the user the character can't normally equip the selected equipment. (Hint: Setzer's Bandanna). NPCs should not need this check.

3) Provide a hint that certain commands will not show up on Gogo's list... and in the future maybe offer to change that behavior somehow when the information is found.

I remember there was a hack that had Gogo with the Shock command inserted into his list... (too bad it easily got wiped away by accident ).

Also, note that Umaro's command list does get absorbed into Gogo (as Umaro can't use those commands, Gogo still can!)

4) Provide the option to fix Celes's spell learning-leveling bug.... (not that it's important or it's a difficult fix...)

I can't think of anything else at the top of my head though.. maybe the SrBehemoth fix bug too...

Is there any sane reason to have two Sprint Rings on Banon?

I also didn't like the Mimic command moving, but whatever I guess.

I'm starting to think the Summon command was supposed to be a benefit from getting Umaro...

Never mind, I got to reproduce it (didn't do it in FF6A, but if the code hasn't changed here, that shouldn't be shocking).

If your inactive party is in the same section near the Red Dragon, and you get tagged by it.. after fighting the boss, you are "displaced" out of your body. You can control the "invisible character" until you fight another enemy, switch parties, or goto the menu.

 :edit:

There you go, a movie of it: http://rapidshare.com/files/140087672/ff3hack4bug.7z.html

It uses the awful Eternal Crystals hack, but you can reproduce this in a normal game. I've included the hack for convienence.

I doubt it has to do with having two parties.. but when you compare this to the Narshe battle, the only actual difference is that you get a message box that pops up that tells you the number of dragons left. When an inactive party is facing a monster, it fades out and switches back to the previous party you are controlling. The message box probably interrupts this, and causes the effect described.

Well, not really, since I didn't like this behavior before (regardless of the hack). I wanted to find a way to effectively make Gogo a tad more useful.. which was give him the Magic command outside of battle to heal, and switch it out, and Mimic Osmose when the chance comes up.

:bah: to retaining this behavior in FF6A.

You are thinking of the Priest's Miter.

Put it this way, I'd prefer the Force Armor over the Genji Armor...

You would never believe how much I love the Aegis Shield more than the Paladin Shield... and yes the Paladin Shield is better, but the Aegis Shield (with the evade bug) is much more uber.
