Character Placement/Movement

ok I'm a bit curious about this and I'm sure it can be done via event editing and whatnot

but lets say I want to change where u meet certain chars in the WOR

like lets say switching Gogo with Umaro

how would I go about editing that

would I need to go full blown hex on this or will SRAM help me out @ all

I brought up these 2 examples because u have 2 name them in the WOR so its probably a bit more work with the whole naming thing involved

but that being said what about the WOB?

Well, the easiest way to swap two characters is to simply swap their stats, sprites, palette, abilities, names, equips, etc.  If you do it via event data and NPC tables, you're just asking for trouble.

oh no no I don't wanna do it that way that's just pretty much doing the short cut I kinda had it planned basically 4 Gogo's and Umaro's particular stats (Gogo being char 13 and having the custom status menu and Umaro being uncontrollable) for a special hack I'm doing

Well, to do it for real, you'll need to do two things:
1.)  Modify the NPC data table for Gogo's dungeon and Umaro's cave in order to change the graphic for the characters before they join (the gogo character who stands at the end of the dungeon and the umaro character who walks in at the end of the cave under narshe)
2.)  Modify the event data that adds the character to the party.  Swap character 0c (Gogo) and 0d (Umaro) probably everywhere in the event data, to be safe.
