It's a bit better than fb even in it's closed beta. Has a ton more privacy features. As retarded as it sounds, we've been using the hangout feature. it's a video/voice/text chat built into + where you can also sync stream youtube videos between each other. I assume they'll add more party viewing options later as well.

I'm enjoying it right now because for the most part it's a professional only network. They are trying to compete with linked in rather than facebook, but we all know what it'll eventually devolve into
