Have you ever had those days where you try to explain stuff to other people and they don't grasp the basics? Arggghhhhhh  :bah:

My grandmother almost has Alzheimer's diseases with exception to she doesn't, she's just a retard.
She can't seem to figure out the basics of the computer such as when she puts her files in a folder, you have to open the folder to get the files. Such like an ACTUAL file-cabinet.
She also must ask me what time it is because the unusual #:## AM/PM at the bottom of the screen doesn't seem to make sense.
She wants me to tell her how to figure out, with words only, how to get the stuff to print. She's pressing the "Print Screen" button but nothing seems to be happening. Before you think she's stupid, you have to keep in mind she doesn't have a printer.
My grandmother would consider gameFAQ an intellectual haven.

Lenophis: was this guy

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=554041&topic=49273026

flaming you for answering his question, or was he just fuming about the game?  if the former, what an a-hole.

Could be either, though I'll guess the latter. My approach to answering probably did not help matters any.

Ok, that post really didn't deserve moderation. He said that that actual method was rather idiotic, and said nothing flaming in my direction.

This one isn't facepalm inducing, rather highly interesting. Never seen a four way poll so close before..

yes, this self-backpatting is unseemly, but i daresay justified.

Yeah, that's pretty amusing. That said, I'd love to get a copy of the game for $20, but I bet that's a loose cartridge with a high probability of being a pirate (last I checked GameStop had no qualms about selling pirate carts, and they seem far more common than real ones for that game). FF6 Advance is rare since stores were doing away with their GBA sections at the time, I don't think I ever even saw it for sale anywhere except online. New copies seem to be going for $40-50 online now.

by "loose cartridge", does that mean unboxed, or something about the circuit board and the plastic shell?  anyway, i'm surprised that a real brick-and-mortar store like Gamestop would sell pirate carts.  you'd think they'd avoid that due to their high visibility (especially compared to shady nobodies on eBay).

I just assume he means no box or manual, this is how Gamestop tends to sell GBA carts.

Also, had no idea FF6A was worth anything.  I gave mine to a friend as a going-away present when he moved to California.  Not that it would've mattered, I hate the GBA version.

Yeah, unboxed, just a cartridge and no box or manual. As far as I know, that's the only way GameStop sells used GBA games. I don't know if they've cracked down on pirate carts by now, but they used to be fairly common in their stores from what I've heard. Some pirate carts are hard to distinguish from the actual thing, I've got a Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance cart that looks completely fake, but a FF5 Advance cart that could easily pass for the real thing. Amusingly, the cheapass plastic, crappy label HoD cart works flawlessly, while the FF5a cart loses its saves all the time.
