RIP Ron Santo
« on: December 05, 2010, 08:26:47 AM »
Belated R.I.P. to Cubs great Ron Santo, who passed away Thursday from bladder cancer.  He played with the Cubs for 14 years, and was a 9-time All Star in his 15-year career.  After that, he went on to broadcasting the Cubs on WGN Radio for 21 years.  He put up with a lot of hardship due to his diabetes, including two partly-amputated legs, but always stayed upbeat.  He really loved the team.

He certainly looked a lot younger than 70. Unfortunately, all I know of him was the highlites ESPN was showing after he died.

119 bugs fixed and counting.
