Nothing yet.  I haven't even opened a Hex editor in weeks.  My main focus is my car for now, that's the project that's sucking all my time.

This isn't really related to the topic, but I'm not sure where to put it. Over at the Chrono Compendium, I said "apparently there's a music importer for RS3". Sometime last month or this month, I figured how to use it. At first, I tried importing provided Music Macro Language files. Then I played around with using a MIDI to Music Macro Language converter.

 :omg:

That's awesome, would you mind linking to the importer and the converter here?

I used tinymm, which I got from SMWCentral. I'm not sure how good a job it does at converting. The importer is part of a tool called RS3ExTool2.
Go to http://saga.no.land.to/upload.cgi and look for "2-658"; the tool should be in there.
It's not just an importer for RS3, but also a importer/exporter for several games.
According to its readme, it's compatible with:
  • ROMANCING SAGA 3 (Ver1.1)
  • FINAL FANTASY 6
  • ROMANCING SAGA 2
  • LIVE A LIVE
  • Chrono Trigger
  • Radical Dreamers
  • FRONT MISSION (Ver1.1)
  • GUN HAZARD
  • ROMANCING SAGA (Ver1.1)

Okay, I've got the editor but I'm not sure how to use it.

I assume I open the MML using the [...] button in the MML tab, but then what do I need to do? I don't have Japanese language support on this computer so everything is showing as question marks.

I'm currently creating a new topic in Game Modification Station about this.

How's this sound?  Obviously an instrument or two isn't in FFV that is in SD2 but I think it sounds ok...pretty much was a direct import minus the instrument index.

Thoughts?

I don't know if you've noticed, but the last time you hacked this song in, it was missing some instruments after the first loop. Not the case anymore. What'd you do differently?

Unknown Lands. :omg:

Errr, I don't know what I did differently?

Anyway this is coming close...need to tweak the vibrato of the Cello and fix the first channel's loop info but all in all it has promise.
