Paladin Cecil Portrait palette fix.

Note: Works with all versions of FF4 and FF2us as far as I know.  No ROM header needed.

=============================

Save Spot mod.

Note: Only works with FF2us V1.0 and V1.1. Could POSSIBLY work with FF4Easy but don't count on it.  No ROM header needed.

General Discussion / Re: Announcement
« on: August 31, 2009, 09:19:36 PM »
Within the next month, I'll no longer be where I am now. Yes, I'll be moving. I've been thinking about this all year, and I believe it is time for this to happen. Yes, terrible economy. Yes, bad job market. Bad though it may be, it's also not the same million job losses like it was earlier this year. I suppose the timing could have been better, but I don't think I can wait for too much longer before it really gets bad for myself.

As a result, I fully expect my time on the internet to severely dwindle over the coming weeks until the move is complete.

Hope things go well for you.  Keep us updated on where you are.

Interesting...

I wonder if they have all released versions of each of the hacks?  I'm missing a couple of versions of some of my hacks.

562
ok, back from work, gonna start up 1.4.

http://www.jce3000gt.com/mqht.php

Do 1.5.  1.4 had bugs that made it impossible and or irritating.

563
v1.5 is out, I suggest trying that one.  I'll be starting a new game.

I changed some character starting stats so it might be needed to start a new game.  But probably not necessary.

General Discussion & Support / Final Fantasy II (U) Easy
« on: August 28, 2009, 11:57:55 AM »
Basically this makes the game quite a bit easier.  This is going to replace my FF2us Insane hack.

Website.

What has been changed:
-Custom title screen
-All monsters give 65,535 EXP each--but also 0GP
-All items in shops are free--yes that includes Elixirs
-Created some god items to make the game even more easy
-Every piece of weapon and armor can be equipped by anyone
-"Rare" items can be bought or found in treasure chests--or are equipped on characters
-Monster encounters on the overworld, underworld and moon are reduced to very rarely (1:64 chance)
-Each character starts with 2,000HP, and the magic users start with 2,000MP (except Tella)
-Each character starts with 50 strength, 25 agility, 50 vitality, 50 wisdom and 50 will
-All spells are free to cash except Meteo
-Created 2 new spells which every White Magic user starts with: Exor and Exor2
-Edited some spells to increase damage (Virus/Blitz/etc)
-Gave Edge Comet and Flare for the hell of it
-All enemies drop Elixirs if you win an item
-Added a secret shop when you touch a Fireplace that sells some good stuff
-Fixed Cecil's portrait palette bug
-Changed some random treasure chests for the hell of it (mostly in the begining)
-More I've forgotten

Trust me playing this is a riot.

Easy mode hacks are very useful if you want to skip quickly to a certain point just to check out something.

That's a very good point.  That's precisely part of the reason.  Save game makers, cheat code writers and people that just want to advance to a certain point to "start" playing find these useful.  Especially ones like this where the only enemies are bosses.

is the point of this just to learn how hm works to make like, a real hack?  i mean, i only ask because the game is pretty easy as-is.

Its an easy hack, some people may not find Zelda 3 that easy.  Plus I made it for the hell of it.
