In re the original script fix: "'til" is valid English (it's a contraction of 'until'), and neither definition of 'till' replaces it. Ignore your spellcheck on this one.

If you're going to go the wiki route, might I suggest Wikidot? Their wikitext engine is among the most versatile I'm aware of, a must when one is documenting a game's internals. It even supports tabs.

One less spell is hardly going to break anything. Even if it were, wouldn't it be possible to have a separate set of effects which just reused spell animations and was entirely separate from the spell list otherwise?

Actually, there's no reason you couldn't use it to do multiple conditions at once; the problem would just be arranging the dispatch table to support it. (e.g. using a stop byte to indicate when to stop adding conditions.)

Keep in mind, this is after I spent about five days playtesting it. I won't share my notes, though?that would be too embarrassing. :P

:edit:
You'll want to have as many healing items as you can, seriously. I'm not even kidding.

Concerning Aerdan:

Man look I suppose changing the map's loading sequence made the object layering priority unnecessary or something. But you don't have to act like a jerk. I mean it's every thread you post on it seems like you have a bad attitude about everything. I mean just loosen up, not everyone is perfect. I'm only 14 and am trying to attempt these things.

Everything I have stated in this thread was directed solely at Odbarc, as he was barking up the wrong tree in relation to the issue you were having. I'm sorry if you felt I was being rude in your direction; that was not my intent.

Given that nothing in your post has anything to do with the OP's problem...yes. Yes, I am.

stupid, ignorance-based shit

No, the problem is that event-editing is not as simple as 'change one thing here'--most games have multiple variables involved in events which control what, precisely, goes on. The sprite data is just fine; it's just that the OP changed one thing and didn't think to look for other things that need to be changed.

[EDIT: Fucking SMF.]

1. No, you don't need it, you want it.
2. Graphics hacking isn't that difficult compared to event-hacking.
3.  Have you not tried Tile Molester?
4. ???
5. Profit!

No, I had not known about it. After seeing the nearly 2 gig download size, I don't think I'll ever have to worry about it. :xzone:

What are you on, dial-up?

Yes. He is. And he cannot afford anything faster. In fact, he's lucky to be able to use AOL and not Juno.

You are a very disgusting little twit. Do your own damn work instead of passive-aggressively trying to get other people to do it for you.

You really don't seem to get it.

If Lenophis wants Lord J to have the information, Lenophis will give Lord J the information directly. Quite frankly, there is no fucking way I could consider you a trustworthy person, given...

  • You constantly post things in the wrong forum (including this thread).
  • You constantly use AIMglish and other txtspk.
  • You have never contributed anything of worth to this community or to Pandora's Box.

I never claimed to be a wise person, only that wisdom comes from saying only what is necessary. Nor does wisdom soften the blow when doing so would not have the desired effect.

And to prove I'm not just pushing my own thoughts on the matter:

Lord J can ask the project leaders himself; he doesn't need an attention-whoring no-name such as yourself to acquire this information for him.

2 things...

1. You have 4 posts and he has 227 on this forum, he's more active than you are.  Doesn't that mean that you need to mind your P's and Q's when coming to a new place REGARDLESS of the topics or posts?  And calling him a "whoring"-blah blah is rather juvenile isn't it?

I've been here for two years. Just because I don't post much doesn't mean I don't know what I'm on about. The wise man says the least, etc.

2. Second, if the project members are going to approve or deny the request that is for them to decide and speak about.

You seem to be under the impression that Lenophis doesn't share examples of extreme stupidity on IRC. Unfortunately, this means I know precisely how he feels about this matter, whereas you do not. Please don't tell me I shouldn't be making assumptions when, er, I'm not. :)
