I mentioned about the Wind Katana and didn't offer a movie, so this is a more interesting movie worth watching...
http://rapidshare.com/files/140311584/FF3Hack3.7z.html

The spell that's attached to this weapon can randomly replace the Wind Slash attack..

The behavior is interesting since if the replacement spell occurs, a free attack is allowed to occur and repeat the cycle.

Also, Wind Slash's targeting gets fucked in all of this at random.

It would be interesting to tweak the probability of Wind Slash replacing Tempest, and see how other spells are affected by this.

This stuff is classified under strange/odd/cool/buggy behavior.

Just play the movie so you can see what happens (you will need the 1.3g beta hack). It's amusing behavior.

I guess it is my formal suggestion to add Leno's Summon This patch...

This is not where you want to start a repeat convo:

"its", not "it's":

There's a missing comma in that sentence:

Is it me or is the Masamune underwhelming? There isn't a special property to it other than the +20% evade...

The obvious one is adding Haste to it, but maybe that's tooooo obvious.

 :edit:
Maybe also add preemptive strike for good measure (a stolen FF5 idea).

Any reason why Vanish is simply a slightly cheaper Shell spell?

I would've made a better movie, but I forgot to make one the first time around.. so you would've seen GrandTrain (whatever it was renamed to) demolish everyone if not almost kill them.... except I already have Revive (Life3) available... oh well.

Small  :bump:

Besides losing interest in FF3 (it always happens before or after the Tower of Fanatics for me), I was waiting for an updated patch with some of the issues addressed.. too bad I forget what exactly.

I'm pretty sure I've fixed everything you've listed so far except for dialogue-related things, I did fix some of those but never bothered inserting them because of the way the script is divided, I haven't come up with a good way to do the pointers yet.

Looks like I haven't posted a patch in a while though, I'll make sure everything listed in this thread is in the latest version (I'm 90% sure it is, I was just waiting for another patch request) later on.

 :edit:

My working directory was a bit of a mess, I did the battle fixes in one ROM and item fixes in another. I copied everything over into one ROM so it should be good now, just let me know when you want a patch.
