Wimpyfox’s own paraphrase after the incident (original message removed): “You betrayed your own community for some randos on bluesky, you should resign[.]”

Alleged actual message: “You betrayed your entire community. Please resign and pass all moderator responsibilities onto people who actually care about us, not randos on bluesky.”

When it comes to a community you have put countless hours into not valuing you at all, how do you react?

When the “leader” of said community is also willing to instantly discard the thoughts and opinions of the people who have kept the place going in an instant if it benefits him, and also willing to outright lie to it’s users, how do you act?

[S]eeing a community i care about being treated this way upsets me. And if all i can do is not give that community more of my time, then i guess that’s what i do. But just let it be known that none of what is here is possible without the users and developers here who make it so. Just want to thank this community for everything, but i am not going to stay around and be actively disrespected in this way. Thanks for the good times everyone. @Scott do better for the people who give you so much of their time, this place is nothing without them.

None of this has anything to do with the current drama surrounding Clover. Without dipping my toes too hard I’ll just say the whole situation is a symptom of the leadership issues RA’s got right now. I’ve decided to eventually return as a dev but I can’t say for sure when.
