  • Final Fantasy Legend III Sound Engine

Backported to Final Fantasy Legend II

You can follow Yohnstoppable’s work via YouTube.

    Says the hack author Yohnstoppable:

Successfully got the Final Fantasy Legend 3 sound engine working in 2.

Now I need to translate the songs from 2 to get them back in.

After that will be Legend 1 and Adventure, followed by other songs I’ve already been translating over

Speaking exclusively with FFV Central, Yohnstoppable adds:

I was translating songs over to use for the FFL2 sound engine, but it doesn’t have a pulse channel. So I was throwing away the drum channel for every song. Got sick of that and brought the 3 engine in.

Hoping to have 100 total songs on the jukebox when I’m done.

Music from Legends 1 and 3 and Adventure will be a part of it. Then a lot of NES music and a few songs from other Gameboy games. A few SNES songs, too, but those can be difficult to condense

So, what do you think? What track would you like to listen to most in modded Final Fantasy Legend II? Comment below, or come check us out on Discord.
