A near-perfect port of the NES/FC classic to the Sega Master System. It also introduces new graphics and sound modes that take advantage of the SMS’s hardware.
Features
Near-perfect Accuracy: The game plays almost exactly like the original. While I cannot guarantee perfect accuracy, I feel confident that the port is accurate under normal gameplay.
New Graphics Mode: The port introduces a new graphics mode based on the SNES/SFC port of the game in Super Mario All-Stars/Super Mario Collection. Savor the pseudo 16-bit graphics with more color, backgrounds, and style!
New Sound Mode: The port also introduces a new sound mode that takes advantages of the YM2413 FM synthesizer found in the Japanese Sega Master System and commonly added to systems through aftermarket modifications. This new sound mode’s music is based on the music in Super Mario All-Stars/Super Mario Collection. Immerse yourself in the rich, 16-bit style arrangements!
I got BANNED on TASVideos, AGAIN. This time, maybe permanently.
I was first banned in 2023 for defending my TAS work. This time, I was banned for making arguments such as, “TAS should use TAS timing, not RTA timing.”
The abuse of power by certain staff members is sickening. They attack and ban people simply for expressing opinions they don’t like.
I joined TASVideos in 2007. It’s fair to say that I have contributed a great deal to the community over the past 19 years.
Under its current terrible management, TASVideos is no longer the place I once loved. If talented TASers are not treated with respect, I would advise others to leave soon.
If anyone builds a better TAS community-one with more common sense, respect for its contributors, and freedom of expression-please let me know.
Since they’ve done this, don’t mind me calling them out for the rest of my life unless they unban me and apologize.
