Just stopping by to give a little +1 to this gang of misfits. Like Nadia, I’ve also felt no desire to contribute further after seeing the recent announcements, they left a very sour taste in my mouth. I’ve considered asking for my developer role to be removed, but it probably wouldn’t accomplish anything, moreso [sic] just a form of protest. In your case it’s much more significant, I respect that you stood by your principles.
It really is disappointing to see the cultural shift that’s been going on here over the past 5 years, although the end result isn’t totally unexpected, the signs were there. Maybe with enough support for a contrasting opinion to the current status quo a better middle ground can be reached eventually.
