Today marks one month from Pokémon Clover being deplatformed in terms of fan-made achievements on the Internet.
Today, FFV Central is pleased to announce that achievement badges are now available for players to earn.
Badges are currently awarded based on video evaluation by achievement verifiers.
Over twenty-five titles are currently supported. All genres and platforms are eligible to be supported.
Players and eligible achievement designers are welcome. The latter will also act as achievement verifiers.
FFV Central will strive to be a bastion of freedom of speech, transparency, and accountability.
There will be no departments. No “authoritarian regime” as Salsa put it. The platform will be guided by libertarian principles.
Any achievement designer can design achievements for any game.
Players’ legit achievement unlocks will not be removed against their will.
The work of achievement designers will stay their own.
The work of an achievement designer will not be vandalized by another achievement designer or removed against the will of the achievement designer.
Hack patches will not be cloned or hosted without hack author permission.
Legally sold paid mods are eligible to be supported.
Progression, beat, and completion achievements will not be supported. Games are meant to be beaten or completed.
Softcore achievements will not be supported.
For more details, please check us out in any of our sister Discords.
A separate announcement will be made when Pokémon Clover achievements are available. If you are interested in assisting in that effort specifically, please reach out to us.
The Winter 2025 edition of the FFR Rando Marathon has been announced by FFR admin DarkmoonEX.
Says DarkmoonEX:
On December 5th, 6th, and 7th, the Final Fantasy Randomizer community will be hosting our fourth annual Winter edition of the FFR Rando Marathon.
As always, this is a charity marathon and we are so very happy to once again partner with the SC Firefighters’ Burned Children’s Fund, a charity dedicated to easing the recovery process for pediatric burn patients and their families in South Carolina. 100% of all proceeds will go to the charity.
Regarding the marathon format, DarkmoonEX continues:
The Marathon will have scheduled slots from 10:00 AM EST Friday Dec 5th to Midnight (11:59 PM EST) Sunday Dec 7th. With enough submissions, there will also be a pre-show on Dec 4th. All randomizers are welcome!
We are incredibly fortunate to always have so many randomizers/communities take part in our marathon and we can’t wait to see who submits this year! Submissions are open now through November 2nd @ 11:59 PM EST.
For more info, see the resources below. If you have any questions, you can find an FFR rep on the FFVC Discord or on the FFR Discord. You can also reach out to clymax.

Brought to You by the FFVI: Worlds Collide Community
The Final Fantasy VI: Worlds Collide community is hosting the latest iteration of the Ultima Derby event. Says event organizer Drinks Glue:
The Ultima Derby officially returns October 17th & 18th and we’re currently accepting sign ups!
There are two ways you can participate in the Ultima Derby Relay Race and help raise money for fantastic causes:
1.) You can volunteer as a runner or restream team member (Or both!) using this form and signups will be filled out into race matchups & restream duties based on your availability with the Ultima Derby flags.
2.) Interested in playing in the Ultima Derby but with different FF6WC flags? Or what about a different game? You can submit your own submissions (here) to participate in the Ultima Derby! Submissions should be 1v1 races with commentary.
You can follow clymax’s projects via FFVC or YouTube.
If you are a member of Retro Achievements, please consider voting to show support for the achievement developers of your favorite sets of this year.
Both the Nintendo and Sega system categories are now open for voting, with more categories coming soon.
Section 2 lists the achievement sets created by members of FFV Central.
The RA announcement post is reproduced in Section 3.

Finally, check back periodically to see new voting links getting added when they become available.
2. Achievement Sets Created by FFV-Central Members
This list is intended as a reference for players who wish to show support for their fellow creators from FFV Central. A total of thirty-nine sets are listed.

Dragon Ball Z: Super Gokuuden Totsugeki Hen (solidification)
The RA Awards are the community’s opportunity to highlight their favorite sets, developers, contributors, and community members from the prior year. . . . .
This year we will be doing nominations for each system, rather than cutdowns. A Google form will be used to nominate sets that you enjoyed from each family of systems. Sets that receive the highest number of nominations will then be put to a vote to determine the winner. After the system nominations, we will also open nominations for staff and community members that contributed in 2024.
Nominations/votes should be based on the ACHIEVEMENT SET, not the game
You are NOT required to make a nomination for each every category/system
