The Eternity mod of Tales of Phantasia for the Super Famicom is now in closed beta courtesy of clymax.

This mod is unofficial and is unaffiliated with Bandai Namco.

Like all of clymax’s rando mods, it’s a self-randomizer, so just simply reset the game to play a new randomization.

A release build for Romhack Plaza is being considered, or you can get early access to the dev build on Game Jolt.

    Development Build: Features

No more random encounters. Hold A to get random encounters.

    Chest items now randomized.

Duplicates can be rolled. Seeding not yet supported.

    Earned experience boosted to 32x.

    Earned gold boosted to 32x.

    You can now save anywhere.

    Writes Xyno:

Hey’all…Not Scott here ! I am playing a Randomizer of Ys 3 today…but it is a version I never played so I know the core gameplay will stay pretty much the same but it will be cool to see the differences between this one and the other well-known versions (PCE, SNES, GEN/MD) ! I will run this on my old trustworthy NES so you know the rom is legit ! — This Randomiser is made by my friend Clymax ! You’re the man broder !! 🙂
