    Hack Jam Under Consideration to be Held

    No Context Collab + Hack Jam ’26

    Release target is April Fools’ Day ’26.

    Given the “no context” theme, your project must be kept secret from others.

    All working submissions will be combined to the best of our integration team’s abilities.

    More details are as follows.

    1. Choose one focus area: maps, sprites, audio, script, mechanics, or user interface.
    2. Guidance for time to spend is 30 minutes to 1 day, but no upper limit will be enforced. You must, however, report your time spent when you make your submission.
    3. The organizers may also impose a minimum signup threshold before this project is allowed to proceed.
    4. Base rom will be FFV SFC, preferably with RPGe translation applied.
    5. Submission deadline will be March 15. An extended deadline of March 25 may apply to participants invited via other FF modding Discords.
    6. Submission format must be a patch file in IPS or BPS format.
    7. Submissions will be via DM as instructed in the channel.

  • FFV: Autumn Challenge

    Autumn Challenge is our localized name for Final Fantasy V Remix (FF5r). The word autumn is taken from the Japanese word aki, taken as autumn.

    A. Job Changes

    1. Hunter: The command becomes “Aim – Animal – (blank) – Item.”
    2. Berserker: Strength and speed are enhanced.
    3. Red Mage: Can equip bows and arrows. Overall stats are improved.
    4. Dragoon: Parameter change.
    5. Impersonator: Name, appearance, and equipment are changed. Command: “Item – (blank) x 3”.

    B. Ability Changes

    1. Toushi: Changed from Mineuchi. Defense-ignoring effect. The original is from the kobō term “Tetsushi.”
    2. Wild Shot: Removes defense ignore.
    3. Zeninage: Attack power is now lower than that of shuriken, and gil consumption has also been reduced.
    4. Musical equipment: Changed from vertical equipment. Bells can also be equipped. Magic power increase is on par with that of a geomancer.

    C. Item Changes

    1. Tinkerbell: Rare again this time.
    2. Twin Lancer: Exclusive to Dragoons.
    3. Blood Sword: Attack power is reduced, hit rate is 100%.
    4. Lilith’s Rod: Increases the activation rate of “Irome”.
    5. Chicken Knife: Weakened.
    6. Sage’s Staff: Removes undead scourge.
    7. Cursed Ring: Defense power is reduced and all attributes are halved. Death sentence remains unchanged.

    There are many additional items, but I’ll list them at the bottom to avoid spoilers.

    D. Magic & Enemy Skills

    1. Blue Magic “???” has been renamed to Revenge Blast.
    2. Strengthens Summon Phoenix.

    E. Towns & Dungeons

    1. The magician’s character becomes a white or black mage.
    2. The messages vary, and some may be the key to solving the game.

    F. New Items

    1. Sagojo Spear: Attack power is lower than in ver.1.10. Water attribute.
    2. Break Blade: Additional break activation
    3. Knife: For throwing only.
    4. Wight Slayer: Critical hit against undead.
    5. Sparkling Sword: Ornament.
    6. Triton Hammer: May activate “Kamaitachi.”
    7. Stardust Rod: Item specification “Comet”.
    8. Variant Knife: Damage equal to HP loss.
    9. Lance of Cain: Always jumps when “attacking.” Short waiting time.
    10. Zantetsuken: May activate “Iai Nuki”.
    11. Save the Queen: A high-performance sword.
    12. Ultima Weapon: Damage proportional to current HP.
    13. Bone Club: Second most powerful attack after Ragnarok.
    14. Thorn Whip: High attack power, but no notable effect.
    15. Wing Edge: A higher-level weapon than the Crescent Moon Ring and Rising Sun.
    16. Medusa’s Bow: Has a high chance of petrifying.
    17. Bloodstained Shield: Holy attribute null. Low evasion ability.
    18. Armor Gappa: Protects against water-element attacks and frog state.
    19. Hero’s Shield: High-performance shield
    20. Adaman Armor: High-performance light armor.
    21. Angel Wings: Always Levitated.
    22. Protect Ring: Always protect.
    23. Star Pendant: Protects against poison attacks and poison status.
    24. Gold Ring: Item that can be exchanged for cash.
    25. Royal Crown: High-performance head armor.
    26. Double Mirage: Creates two clones.
    27. Glass Mask: Head armor specialized for physical defense.
    28. Rainbow Water Crown: Fire, cold, and lightning damage are halved.
    29. Wind God’s Shield: Absorbs wind attribute.
    30. Behemo Suit: Comes with enhanced fighting capabilities.
    31. Fragment of Nothingness: A probative item obtained when defeating a certain additional powerful boss.

    G. Dragons

    1. Skull Dragon
    2. Terrible Dragon
    3. Earth Dragon
    4. Leviathan
    5. Holy Dragon
    6. Storm Dragon
    7. Freeze Dragon
    8. Lady Dragon

    Even if you defeat them all, there is no Jihad.
