    ● ● Introduction ● ●

     Thank you for downloading True Story FF5r-IC.

     This patch modifies the Super Famicom version of “FINAL FANTASY V”.
     This patch is based on FF5r (created by ff5aki) and has been further modified.
     
     Previously, I released a patch called FF5r-IC.
     This work is a different modified version from that previous work.

     The truth is that FF5r-IC can only be played on an emulator called uosnes.
     We have confirmed that it works. For other emulators,
     If the expanded ROM works, you can probably play it.
     I don’t think there’s any problem, but if you don’t have any particular preferences, I recommend uosnes.

    ● ● What is the true FF5r-IC? ● ●

     ・Instead of Bartz, the main character is a green-haired female character.

     ・Since the main character is a female, there are some conversations that are a bit yuri-like.

     -Magic and items that appeared in other numbered titles in the FF series
      Many other original spells will also be introduced in this patch.
      There are many variations of magic.

     -Some jobs have been deleted and original jobs have been added.
      (Psychic, Moogle, Dark Knight, Viking, Impersonator,
      ・10 types: Spirit User, Elite Summoner, Alchemist, Astrologian, and Holy Master)

     ・Turn rarely used abilities into useful ones, or create original abilities
      By modifying them, we are expanding the range of character development and strategies.

     ・Damage inflation becomes quite intense towards the end of the story.
      You can enjoy large-scale battles with numbers flying around.

     - The major weakness system, which deals quadruple damage, makes for dynamic battles.

     - Each spell consumes low MP, making them easy to use.
      (That being said, this doesn’t mean it’s a soft game.)

     This patch uses the “disk change system” described below.
      By using multiple ROMs, you can control magic, items, enemies, etc.
      We are increasing the variety.

     - Some of the dark magic from the Game Boy Advance version has been replaced with red magic.
      We are hiring.

    ● ● How to make the True FF5r-IC ROM ● ●

     There is not just one ROM used to play True FF5r-IC.
     This patch uses three ROMs due to the disk change system,
     The number of ROMs that need to be created is also three.

     ◆STEP 1

     Remove the header from an unmodified FF5 ROM.
     If you don’t know how to trim the header, this is useful.

     ◆STEP 2

     Obtain the FF5r140 patch and run it on a FF5 ROM with the header removed.
     Apply the FF5r140.ips patch and create FF5r140.smc.

     (There are two types of patches for FF5r140,
      Please note that this is not the FF5r140h.ips version.

     If you want to apply a patch using winips, you must have the latest version.
     There may be some issues, so even if you have already downloaded it,
     To be on the safe side, please use the latest version.

     CRC32 does not match even after patching with winips, or even if it does match
     If the game does not work properly, please apply the patch from the following site.
     It seems that it often works well, so if you are having trouble with it,
     Please try using it.

     For the created “FF5r140.smc”,
     Apply the following three patches included in this patch file.

     True story FF5r-IC Disc3.ips

     Were you able to apply each patch and create the three ROMs below?

     ◇ True theory FF5r-IC Disc1.smc (Disc1) CRC32:8B4ACC94

     ◇ True theory FF5r-IC Disc2.smc (Disc2) CRC32:C730C050

     ◇ True theory FF5r-IC Disc3.smc (Disc3) CRC32:63A192F0

      (The CRC32 listed is the result of investigation using Snes9x v1.61)

      If the ROM you created does not match the CRC32 listed here,
      The patch was not successful, so please try again from the beginning.
      When you start playing with a ROM that does not match the CRC32 value, a problem occurs.
      It may not work properly.

       Also, when creating a patch, please be careful not to apply duplicate patches.

    ● ● Save data compatibility ● ●

     Versions of Shinsetsu FF5r-IC older than 2.0.0
     There is no compatibility with the save data from the previous game “FF5r-IC”
     Please do not use such save data.

     In addition, FF5, FF5r, and other FF5 patches created by other authors are also available.
     When using save data or state saves
     There are often glitches, so be sure to start a new adventure.

    ● ● What is the disc change system? ● ●

     The True Story of FF5r-IC uses a disc change system.
     There is not one but multiple ROMs (three in this patch) used to play.
     As the story progresses, you can change the ROM you use to play.
     You will progress through the adventure by switching between these two characters.
     

     Disc 1 → Disc 2 → Disc 3

     And so on in numerical order.
     (You cannot go back to the previous disc.)

     Things like DQ and FF from the PlayStation era
     If you think about it, it’s easy to understand, isn’t it?

     By having multiple ROMs, items, magic, monsters, etc.
     Variety is added, and there is no flag management.
     This offers many benefits, such as the ability to change various specifications.

     Disk change (changing the ROM used for playing)

    ■ ■ Problems that could not be fixed ■ ■

     It was a problem that I didn’t know how to fix so I had to leave it alone.

     -The graphics are strange in some ending scenes.
      (It seems like this happens even with unmodified FF5)

     ・The main character of this patch is not displayed during the title or ending chocobo riding scenes.
      Instead, Bartz, who does not appear in this patch, will be displayed.

    ■■ True FF5r-IC Update History ■■

    ■ August 1, 2024 Ver.2.0.0 distributed

     - Not compatible with save data older than 2.0.0.
      Be sure to start a new game on Disc 1.

     - Dancer and Summoner have been abolished and Elementalist and Elite Summoner have been implemented.

     -Disc changes can now be performed smoothly.
      A prohibited item was equipped when the disc change message appeared.
      Even if you have a special gear, it will be automatically collected.
      There is no need to remove it and then display the message again.

     - The second command for the Samurai has been changed to “Iai-nuki”. However, on Disc 1 and 2
      Because it is so powerful, it is a single-target attack and has a long waiting time.

     - On Disc 1 and Disc 2, “Continuous Magic” is Black and White Magic Level 2
      I can only use a certain amount of magic now.

     - There is now a limit to the number of times the space-time magic Quick can be used in one battle.

     - Fixed an issue where the graphics of the summoned beast Shiva on Disc 3 were strange.

     Disc 3: Some of the enemies have a very powerful technique called Seven Fever.
         Fixed the usage issue.

     ・Items that are sure to drop from some bosses
      Fixed a bug that could cause items not to drop.

     - Enemy status has been adjusted slightly.

     - Disc 3: We’ve adjusted the HP of various bosses, including those in the end content.

     - Many bosses now have no dummy targets, and attacks such as Midareuchi have been improved.
      Adjusted random target attacks to make them easier to hit.

     - Except for some enemies, evasion rates have been lowered overall.

     - Adjusted enemy drop items. Better items are now available from some bosses.

     -Fixed a bug on Disc 3 where the Bard could use holy magic.
      (The fact that the Bard can no longer use “Sing” is due to the original Disc 3 specifications.)

     ・Disc 1: For jobs with Monk or Fighting skills set, the bare-handed attack power was not increasing.
      Bug fixes.

     - Berserk Bracelet has been changed to equipment for all jobs.

     -Fixed an issue where Flare Saber was free.

     -Fixed an issue where the holy magic Curse could be learned in ways other than purchasing Disc 3.

     - Fixed an issue on Disc 2 where it was possible to escape from Panthera and have the event count as cleared.

    ■ April 27, 2024 Ver 0.9.5 distributed

     - Overall, enemy physical defense and physical evasion have been lowered, making it easier to utilize physical jobs.

     - The regular battle music in the Ronca Ruins has been changed to FF4 battle music.

     - An explanatory message (about the unique specifications of this patch) has been added to the Beginner’s Hall.

     -Some store items have been changed.

     - Hot wands and cold rods now have attributes that are added when using physical attacks.

     - Some of the moves used by “Hanatsu” on monsters in the early stages have been changed.

     - Disc 1: The boss monster’s ABP has been increased.

     - You can now get good items by stealing from certain boss monsters.

     - The Ground Shake used by enemies in the early stages has been replaced with “Ground Shake (Weak).”

     - The effect of using the Sage’s Staff has been changed from silence to raise.

     - The MP cost of some red magic has been reduced.

     -Fixed an issue where Shockwave Pulsar was stronger only on Disc 1.

     -From Disc 2 onwards, “Mega Barrier” has been made global.
