    This post explores the mods over the years, that have managed to break the damage limit (BDL) of 9,999 in the vanilla game engines of the classic entries in the Final Fantasy series.

    No mods, other than those listed here, are known to have broken the damage limits in question. If you know of any, comment below.

    Final Fantasy IV (SNES): BDL of 9,999

    This establishes the second damage limit of 16,383.

    Final Fantasy VI (SNES): BDL of 16,383

    This establishes the third damage limit of 32,767 (softcapped to 32K).
